Albany, NY - The Albany FireWolves are excited to name the High School Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Dave & Buster's - Albany for the week of March 25. These two student-athletes have shown their commitment to athletics, to their community, and to working hard in the classroom.
These student-athletes will receive a prize pack courtesy of Dave & Buster's - Albany and tickets to an upcoming Albany FireWolves game. The student-athletes will be honored during the FireWolves' next home game on Saturday, April 6 for their accomplishments on and off the field.

The Albany FireWolves Student-Athletes of the Week for the Week of March 25 are Matthew Soden from Waterford Halfmoon High School and Eniola Elefontuyi from Niskayuna High School.
Matthew Soden - Waterford-Halfmoon High School - Senior - Baseball
Matthew has been a three-sport varsity athlete since 9th grade (soccer, basketball and baseball). He has been a captain for the last 2 years in each of the 3 sports. Matthew leads by example, he is always at practice early and the last one to leave, and he gives everything he has on the field/court. He has been a Scholar Athlete for all 4 years of High School on each of his teams. Matthew has been a member of the Marion Raney Chapter of the National Honor Society at Waterford High School for the last 3 years. Matthew is also very active volunteering to coach and referee youth sports camps, help at the Anthony Blaauboer Kindness Day, and events like Toys for Tots.
Eniola Elefontuyi - Niskayuna High School - Senior - Girl's Lacrosse
Eniola has been on the varsity girl's lacrosse team for 3 seasons. She is a captain and a leader. She was first team all-suburban council in 2023 and an Academic All-American in 2023. She is a leader and staple of Niskayuna lacrosse's defensive unit. Eniola is committed to play college lacrosse at Springfield College.
Congratulations to Matthew and Eniola! The FireWolves wish them continued success in the classroom and on the field this spring sports season. The FireWolves and Dave & Buster's -Albany are proud to be a part of the Capital Region community and support youth and high school athletics throughout the area. More winners will be chosen each week during the high school spring sports season.
