
Alaska Wild DB #2 Demarcus James Is Named IFL Defensive Player Of The Week For A Second Time

The Intense Football League Defensive Player of the Week goes to Wild DB Demarcus James. James, also a second time Defensive Player of the Week winner, added to his League leading interception total ( 8 ) by snagging 2 more last Thursday evening (4/10/08). He registered 6 tackles with 4 being solo. He also broke up 2 passes.
Alaska Professional Sports, Inc. and the Alaska Wild are proud to announce the signing of quarterback EJ Nemeth (6'3ft, 245lbs). Nemeth, recently played for the San Angelo Stampede-Express as a back-up QB. "The coaches felt that we need extra help at quarterback since Nick is out for a while," said AK Wild Head Coach Hans Deemer. "Signing EJ doesn't mean that Keith Smith is out at quarterback, it just means we have options." Nemeth played last year with the Reading Express of the American Indoor Football Association, where he was a solid back-up for the team. Nemeth has a lot of semi-professional football experience with playing on three different North American Football League teams. Nemeth played has college football for two programs; Kings College and Sacred Heart University.
The AK Wild has a bye this weekend and the next Wild game will be Monday, April 28th against the San Angelo Stampede-Express. It's a Wild home game at the Sullivan Arena (The Terror Dome). Pre-game is at 7pm and kickoff is at 7:30pm.
