April 28, 2014 - Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL)
Alabama Hammers News Release
Due to the expected inclement weather across the Tennessee Valley this afternoon and through the evening hours, tonight's scheduled Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) game featuring the Alabama Hammers at the Von Braun Center has been postponed and will be rescheduled for Friday, June 27th."With the concern for the safety of our fans and our entire Tennessee Valley community, we feel it's in the best interest of everyone connected to our football game to postpone tonight's game." said Jeff Knight, owner of the Alabama Hammers. "The Alabama Hammers, the PIFL and the Von Braun Center together agree this is best decision for all concerned during a possible extremely dangerous weather event."
Tickets for tonight's postponed game will be honored for the rescheduled date of June 27, which will remain as First Responders Night.
"The VBC is pleased to be able to accommodate the change in schedule for tonight's game realizing the possible severity of the weather conditions across the Tennessee Valley," said Brandi Quick, assistant director of the Von Braun Center.
