The Alabama Hammers will face the visiting Georgia Fire this Saturday, May 24, at 7 p.m. at the Von Braun Center for game seven of the 2014 season of play in the Professional Indoor Football League. The evening of grand-style football is also Intergraph Military Night.
The Hammers (2-4) are going into the contest with a two-game winning streak after a convincing 73-53 victory over the Columbus Lions last week at the VBC. Meanwhile, the Fire (3-3) are coming off a 72-64 loss to the Harrisburg Stampede and look to keep its one game lead above the Hammers in the American Conference standings.
The special Military Night celebration, presented by Intergraph, will include 1,000 military T-shirts for adults and 1,000 camou-style jerseys for kids. The jerseys are sponsored by Channel 31 and are being regarded by the Hammers as the "coolest ever" for indoor football in Huntsville. Supplies limited to the first 1,000 for each.
Military Night is also a huge event for members of the military as each will receive a discount admission to the game by showing a military ID. Contractors providing support for the military on Redstone Arsenal can also receive a discount by ordering tickets through the Hammers' office at 256-551-2222.
The game versus the Fire, which is expected to provide lots of "Fire-works", will be available on the Hammers Radio Network, which is broadcast on WAFN-FM, 92.7 Fun Radio-Arab, WZZN-FM, 97.7 The Zone-Huntsville and WWIC-AM, 1050-Scottsboro. Michael St. John and Steve Moulton will handle the radio broadcast.
