Fort Wayne FC News Release
Fort Wayne Football Club closed out its time in USL League Two with a terrific 2025 season, reaching the Central Conference Semifinals for the second straight year.
Among the 143 teams playing in USL League Two this season, Fort Wayne FC reached the final 16 teams with a postseason run that came to an end with a 2-0 overtime loss to the Flint City Bucks at Atwood Stadium in Flint, Michigan, on July 20.
Fort Wayne FC won the Valley Division for a third straight season, and next will move to the professional level of USL League One in 2026, when the club begins play at Fort Wayne FC Park, a state-of-the-art, soccer-specific stadium being built at Bass Road and I-69.
The club is currently accepting $25 deposits on season tickets for the 2026 season.
While full ticket pricing will be unveiled soon, the club has announced that season ticket packages will begin as low as $300 per person.
By placing deposits, fans can reserve their place in line to see matches at Fort Wayne FC Park and are encouraged to do so. Construction updates on Fort Wayne FC Park can be seen at the stadium news page.
Fort Wayne FC has already established itself as one of the winningest clubs in the nation with a combined record of 29-7-5 over the last three seasons - all under coach Mike Avery.
Fort Wayne FC was one of only four teams to win its division each of the last three USL League Two seasons and one of only nine clubs to win its division in 2024 and 2025.
There were myriad other accolades in 2025 for Fort Wayne FC. To name just a handful:
Caio Oliveira set the club's single-season goal-scoring record with seven. It was Oliveira's first season with Fort Wayne FC and he came within one goal of tying the club's all-time goal-scoring mark in USL League Two, shared by Gjis Hovius and Maxwell Amoako.
Reid Sproat played his 50th USL League Two match with Fort Wayne FC in the playoff loss. Sproat, the only player to participate in a Fort Wayne FC match (including friendlies) in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, is the club's all-time leader in USL matches played. Tiago Dias is second with 38. Aurie Briscoe is third with 34.
Fort Wayne FC drew a season-high 1,712 fans to its regular-season finale, a 4-0 victory over Kings Hammer FC Cincinnati at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium on July 12, when FWFC captured the Valley Division title.
Fort Wayne FC averaged 1,488 fans this season at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium, where the club racked up an incredible record of 21-6-1 after moving from Shields Field to start the 2023 season. In USL League Two play, Fort Wayne FC was 15-3-1 at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium.
Johnny Aye, 15, became the youngest player to participate in a Fort Wayne FC match during a June 28 international friendly against Atlas Fútbol Club's Sub-23 team. Fort Wayne FC won the match 1-0.
Fort Wayne FC won a playoff match for the second straight year, again over Midwest United FC. After falling behind 2-0 in the first half July 18 at Atwood Stadium, Fort Wayne FC rallied for a 3-2 overtime victory, getting goals from captain Tiago Dias on a header, Caio Oliveira on a free kick, and Amari Fowlkes after an Aboubacar Traore pass across the box.
Mike Avery, the only head coach Fort Wayne FC has ever known, improved his all-time record to 39-18-12 in USL League Two play, including 38-10-7 over the past four season.
Gaku Nishimura tallied his fourth official assist this season, putting him in a tie for second place in club history, two short of Alberto Anaya.
Fort Wayne FC hired its first Sporting Director, Oliver Gage, July 15 and he'll help oversee the club's sporting operations as it ascends to USL League One.
