
AFL Playoff Schedule Announced
May 20, 2003 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release
NEW YORK â The AFL Playoffs begin this Saturday, May 24 with the Wild Card Round when the No. 5 Dallas Desperados host the No. 12 Georgia Force at 3 p.m. ET (NBC). On Sunday, May 25 at 3 p.m. ET there will be three games: the No. 6-seeded Arizona Rattlers host the No. 11 seed, the Las Vegas Gladiators; the No. 7 Grand Rapids Rampage host the No. 10 Detroit Fury; and the No. 8 New York is scheduled to host the No. 9 Chicago. All games will be broadcast on NBC.
The four first-round bye teams â Los Angeles, San Jose, Tampa Bay and Orlando â will each host a quarterfinal playoff game. San Jose and Tampa Bay will host games on Saturday, May 31 at 3 p.m. ET; Los Angeles and Orlando are slated for Sunday, June 1.
