Head Coach Rod Miller ushers team into third season

GREENVILLE, SC – The League office of arenafootball2 and the Carolina Rhinos have announced the team will open training camp for the 2002 season this coming Monday March the 18th. The first week of camp will be held at Carolina High School at 2725 Anderson Road in Greenville. The first week schedule is as follows:

  • Monday March 18th 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. workout in helmets and shorts
  • Tuesday March 19th 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. workout in helmets and shorts
  • Wednesday March 20th 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. workout in full pads
  • Thursday March 21st 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. workout in full pads
  • Friday March 22nd 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. workout in helmets and shorts

Rhinos practices are open to the public free of charge and members of the media are urged to attend. Players and coaches will be available for interviews until 6:15 p.m. and after practice. Members of the media can call 864-250-4927 with any questions or special requests.

The 2002 season will be the third in af2 for the Rhinos. It will be their first under new head coach Rod Miller who takes over after serving as special teams coordinator and receivers and defensive backs coach for the past two seasons.

2002 season tickets are on sale by calling 864-467-4777. The Rhinos will open the season Saturday April 6th on the road against the Macon Knights and will open their home schedule Friday April 19th against the Macon.
