Aeros sign Carson McMillan to ATO

HOUSTON, Texas - Houston Aeros General Manager Tom Lynn today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed right wing Carson McMillan to an Amateur Try-out (ATO) agreement.

McMillan, 20 (9/10/88), skated the last four seasons with the WHL's Calgary Hitmen and saw post-season play in each. During the 2008-09 Hitmen campaign McMillan tallied a career best 72 points, 31 goals and 41 assists in 68 games. In 18 playoff games McMillan recorded 11 points (3-8=11) before being eliminated in Game 6 of the Memorial Cup finals on May 10. The Brandon, Manitoba, native recorded 141 regular-season points (57 goals, 84 assists) in his four years with the Hitmen.

The 6-foot-2, 213 pound winger was selected in the seventh round (No. 200 overall) by the Minnesota Wild in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He will wear #24 with the Aeros.

The Aeros play the Milwaukee Admirals tonight in Game 7 of the West Division Finals to see who will head to Manitoba to start the next round.
