Aeros name Jamie Spencer Executive Vice President

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) announced today that Jamie Spencer has been named Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the club.

Spencer, 35, is currently Vice President of Customer Sales & Service for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL), the Aeros' NHL affiliate. In this role with the Aeros, Spencer's primary responsibility is to provide executive leadership and direction to the entire organization, with particular focus on the Ticket Sales and Service, Corporate Sales and Service, Retail Sales, Marketing Game Operations, Communications & Broadcasting, Charitable Giving and Finance/Administrative.

"I am excited to be joining an organization with a lot of great history of success and such an exceptional and hard-working staff," said Spencer. "Our goal is to make Houstonians proud of this franchise 365 days a year."

Spencer is currently in his second season as Vice President, Customer Sales & Service for the Minnesota Wild, the Aeros' NHL affiliate, and will continue his role with the Wild. He is the longest tenured employee at the Wild having joined the organization in June of 1997. Prior to joining the Wild and Aeros, Spencer enjoyed a collegiate hockey career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he served as captain his senior year. He then joined the professional ranks playing in the ECHL and AHL, within the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim minor league system. Over the past 12 years, Spencer has helped establish the Wild as one of the premier franchises in the NHL in which every game in team history has been sold out.
