Akron, OH - The Harrisburg Senators accomplished Sunday what no other Eastern League team had done in 2012. They became the first opponent to win a series against Akron.

Led by catcher Devin Ivany, who had a pair of run-scoring doubles, the Senators defeated the Aeros, 7-4, Sunday afternoon at Canal Park, and left town having won three out of four against the first-place Aeros.

Akron (22-12) lost the final three games of the series, the first three-game skid of the season. The Aeros also watched their lead in the EL Western Division shrink from six games to three.

Harrisburg (20-16) scored four runs in the first inning off T. J. House (1-1). Eight batters came to the plate, highlighted by the first of Ivany's two RBI doubles. The lead grew to 6-0, in the third when Ivany and Destin Hood clubbed RBI hits.

Akron's Jared Geodert got the Aeros on the board in the third with a majestic, high-arching, three-run homer, that completely cleared the 60-foot-high batter's eye in center. It was Goedert's third homer of the season. Adam Abraham later delivered an RBI single in the inning to close the gap to 6-4, but the Aeros drew no closer the remainder of the afternoon.

House lasted through five innings, walking two and striking out seven. It was his first loss at the Double-A level.

Righthander Erik Davis (4-1) picked up the win in relief with three shutout innings for the Senators. Lefty Pat McCoy finished the final three innings for his first save.

Tim Fedroff was 3-5, with a double, for the Aeros, extending his hitting streak to six games. Chun Chen and Abraham had two hits apiece for the Aeros.

The Aeros will begin a three-game road trip at Erie Monday night at 6:35. LHP Giovanni Soto (3-1, 3.94) will face Erie's LHP Ramon Garcia (1-2, 7.31). The Aeros will return to Canal Park for the next homestand on Friday, May 18th against Richmond. All Aeros games are broadcast on Fox Sports 1350 AM and online at www.akronaeros.com.
