Aeros' Defenseman Erik Reitz Recalled By Minnesota Wild

HOUSTON, Texas - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled D Erik Reitz from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL) under emergency conditions. His last game with the Wild was January 19 last season at Chicago.

Reitz, 25 (7/29/82), has posted 34 points (8-26=34) for the Aeros - fourth on the team in scoring despite being limited to 49 games due to injury. He ranks second among Aeros defensemen in plus-minus at plus-11. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound native of Detroit, Mich., has played six career games with the Wild, accruing four PIM. Reitz will wear No. 2 with the Wild. He was Minnesota's sixth-round selection (No. 170 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Reitz made his NHL debut with the Wild on April 7, 2006, at Calgary.

Before Houston's run to the playoffs the club will return home for the last two games of the regular season this weekend, April 12-13 against the Milwaukee Admirals. The Aeros and Admirals are currently tied for third in the division so this weekend will determine the playoff seeding!
