Milwaukee, WI - Andreas Thuresson scored two goals and Ryan Maki notched three points to lead the Milwaukee Admirals past the Chicago Wolves by a final score of 3-2 Sunday evening.

The first period was all Milwaukee, as they scored three unanswered goals that would secure the victory for them before the second period even started.

Ryan Maki got the scoring started at 5:10 of the 1st period. When Chicago was on the power-play, Brett Skinner was in the defensive zone and thought that he could skate by Maki without any trouble. However, Maki poked the puck away from Skinner and was left all alone to snipe a wrister past Chicago netminder Brent Krahn's glove for his 10th of the season.

"We kind of talked a little bit about getting down the ice on the penalty kill, and we did a great job of it tonight," noted Maki.

Andreas Thuresson gave the Admirals a two goal lead on a slapshot from right outside of the hash-marks with just under nine minutes remaining in the 1st period. The assist was given to Maki for his second point of the night.

Milwaukee took a three goal lead on behalf of Thuresson once again, as he backhanded a rebound past Krahn at the 14:22 mark. The assists were given to Nick Spaling and Maki, who received his third point of the night on the play.

Chicago finally got on the board in an attempt to get the comeback started when Joe Motzko stickhanded around an Admirals defenseman and fired a snap shot past Drew MacIntyre with just under three minutes remaining in the game. The assists were given to Clay Wilson and Arturs Kulda.

Brett Sterling brought the game within a goal just over a minute later with an odd angle wrist shot from the left wing boards that beat Drew MacIntyre, but time ran out before they could use an extra man to their advantage, and the Admirals went on to win 3-2.

"It was our 12th game in 19 days, and I thought we did a great job of gutting it out," added Milwaukee Head Coach Lane Lambert.

The Admirals will travel to Peoria on Wednesday night before finishing the regular season on Friday night at 7:00 pm against the Chicago Wolves at the Bradley Center.
