Your Vallejo Admirals are back home again tonight, opening a two-game homestand against first place Sonoma. The Admirals finished the first month of the Pacific Association season in third place and are looking to move up in the standings. What better way to do that than knocking off the leaders?
The bats are warming up. Nick Akins Sr. has four home runs in his last six plate appearances. The other two were a sacrifice fly and a single. His three home runs against San Rafael last Saturday at Wilson Park is one of the highlights of the season thus far!
