Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI--Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that the team has hired Kory Schooley as Director of Season Ticket Sales and the promotion of John W. Bitter to Vice President/Ticket Sales and Brian Martens to Director of Ticket Operations.
"John and Brian have been fantastic performers for our staff," said Greenberg. "They both are very deserving of these promotions and I am sure that they will continue to excel with their fans, both current and future. I am also happy to welcome Kory to our staff as he brings extensive experience, energy and creativity which I know will be well-received by our fan base."
Schooley brings significant sales experience to the Admirals, having spent the previous eight seasons with the Milwaukee Wave, most recently as the Vice President of Sales. He will be responsible for the overall direction of season ticket sales, prospecting and selling new accounts with a focus on developing more business relationships, managing current season ticket accounts, working with Bitter on an action plan to help maximize season ticket sales, provide exemplary customer service, and staff an Admirals table at local community events and expos.
Schooley, who has an undergraduate degree in sports management from UW-Lacrosse and an MBA from UW-Whitewater, is married and resides in Oconomowoc with his wife Kim and two children, Lilly and Samuel.
In his role as Vice-President, Bitter will oversee both season and group ticket sales, as well as ticket operations. With a renewed focus on sales training and best practices from around the American Hockey League and professional sports, Bitter will work with the ticket sales staff to improve the overall fan experience and transition that into more ticket sales. Bitter will still actively sell Admirals tickets, focusing more on local companies and organizations.
A 2002 graduate of Ripon College with a degree in Communication, Bitter began with the Admirals as an Account Executive in 2003 and served in that role until he was promoted to Director of Ticket Sales in 2005. He and his wife Melissa have twins, Mallory and William, and live in Cedarburg.
Martens will continue to serve as the liaison between the team and the BMO Harris Bradley Center Ticket Office and Ticketmaster, maintain and update the Admirals ticket database, oversee Will Call and a concourse ticket stations at all games, prepare invoices, sales reports, audits, and deposits, manage online payment systems, and oversee fan email collection programs and design and execute targeted email campaigns.
Martens recently completed his 9th season as a full time employee with the Admirals and 10th overall. He broke in with the club as a sales intern for the 2004-05 season and also worked as an Account Executive and Senior Account Executive before moving into ticket operations in the 2009-10 campaign.
Martens and his wife Kristen have two kids, Olivia and Nolan, and reside in Franklin.
