Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, Fla. - The Florida Everblades announced Tuesday that forward Adam Gilmour has been returned from loan to the American Hockey League's Springfield Thunderbirds.
A native of Hanover, Massachusetts, Gilmour played one game with the Thunderbirds to start the 2018-19 season.
Prior to being loaned to Springfield, Gilmour suited up in a pair of preseason games with the Everblades, recording two points on a goal and an assist.
Gilmour was sidelined during the 2017-18 season with an injury, but he played in 63 combined professional games between the AHL and ECHL in 2016-17, his first full season of pro hockey. In 53 games with the AHL's Iowa Wild in 2016-17, the 6-foot-4, 183-pound center notched four goals and six assists. He also recorded eight points in 11 games with the Quad City Mallards of the ECHL the same season.
Before his professional career, Gilmour played three seasons at Boston College and saw action in 119 career games, posting 73 points on 28 goals and 45 assists. The Minnesota Wild drafted Gilmour in the fourth round, 98th overall, in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Florida plays a home-and-home series this weekend against the Orlando Solar Bears, traveling to Orlando for a 7 p.m. matchup on Friday before returning home on Saturday for a 7 p.m. matchup at Hertz Arena.
