The Brooklyn Aces played their first official game tonight at Essex County Richard J. Codey Arena at South Mountain in West Orange, NJ and came away with a 6-2 victory over the Jersey Rockhoppers.
Forward Jesse Felton got the scoring started just 24 seconds into the first period scoring his first of two goals on the night. Brooklyn native James Brannigan scored 2 goals of his own to help lead the Aces to victory. Defenseman and Assistant Captian Nick Grove added 2 assists, while Mike Christiansen and Chris Holmes each had a goal and an assist. Eddie Neville and Miroslav Recicar split time in goal, each making several spectacular saves. The Jersey Rockhoppers were led by forward Tom Boudreau who scored the Rockhoppers two goals.
