Academy Grad Damm Recalled from USL League One Loan
August 29, 2022 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Louisville City FC News Release
Louisville City FC recalled defender Owen Damm from his loan with USL League One side Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC, it was announced Monday. The move has the outside back available for selection in Wednesday as LouCity travels to play rival Indy Eleven at Carroll Stadium.
Damm will provide added depth during a congested position of LouCity's schedule with the club in the midst of five games - four away from Lynn Family Stadium - over 15 days.
A 19-year-old from Versailles, Ky., Damm signed his first professional contract this past offseason out of LouCity's youth academy. He numbered nine starts in 13 appearances for Northern Colorado, plus appeared in Hailstorm FC's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup upset of Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake.
This marks the second time Damm returned from a loan spell. He was similarly recalled in the spring after a spate of injuries along the back line and made his senior team debut, starting May 13 at LA Galaxy II.
LouCity kicks off at 7 p.m. Wednesday against Indy Eleven. Coverage will air locally on My58 TV and ESPN Louisville's 680/105.7 with live streaming available via ESPN+ and the WDRB Now App.
