Kansas City Knights News Release
Kansas City, MO. Bob Sundvold, Head Coach and General Manager of the ABA Kansas City Knights, has announced a series of plans to further augment the Knight's overall operations.
The Knights recently launched the KNIGHTS ACADEMY (www.knightsacademy.net) that is designed to teach and train basketball players on a year-round basis. Included in the academy are summer camps and the developing of a series of competitive AAU level basketball teams. Currently, over 150 players are enrolled in the Academy and two teams have been formed.
"We are thrilled by the response to our level of instruction and are looking forward to further extending this around the Kansas City area, " said Sundvold.
In addition, the Knights have been re-working their website which will be introduced shortly. Jim Clark, Knights' owner commented, "We have been very involved in positioning the Knights for the new arena in Overland Park and are thrilled by the response from both sponsors and fans. We look forward to the continuing growth of the team. We have some exciting things happening - and are ready to unveil the 2005 Kansas City Knights." Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
