ABA Summer Pro League opens with excitement
August 8, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Westchester, CA. The first annual ABA Summer Pro League looks like it won't be the last. Sean Higgins, CEO of Nine Sports Entertainment shared, "...for a first effort and just six months planning time, we are pleased with our first day. Everyone had first day jitters, we started the events a bit late to be sure we were on point for our fans and sponsors, but overall, we were very pleased. If you missed the first day, you missed live performances."
Los Angeles City District 11 Councilman Bill Rosenthal's Westchester Field Deputy Kathryn Frengs received the official ABA red, white and blue basketball signed by Higgins, former Los Angeles Fairfax High standout. The ABA Inglewood team shed their generic name and announced themselves as "the ABA Inglewood Cobras." The team logo and official game uniforms were unveiled. The pin-striped uniforms in the team colors of maize and blue represents Higgins alma mater - University of Michigan.
And best of all, the games. This was ABA off-the-hook basketball. With game high scores like 144, 133, 132, this is truly fast-paced, FanXiting professional basketball. And this is just the summer. Can't wait for the regular season? This is a must-see event. The ABA Summer Pro League is heating up Southern California and this weekend was just the beginning with play continuing everyday except Sundays concluding with the August 20th Championship Game. List to the ABA Summer Pro League games on the Internet live now thru August 20th. Derrick Pearson, the voice of ABA Live Talk will host the games and will provide interviews with players, coaches, sponsors, performers and fans.
