ABA hits Japan again

Tokyo, Japan. JMS Corporation, a licensing, planning and marketing company based in Tokyo is proud to announce they have become the official licensing agent for the American Basketball Association (ABA) in Japan. "We are very excited to be working with the ABA and to help spread its name throughout Japan," said Jennifer Hodgins, the International Director of JMS Corporation. "With basketball gaining popularity here in Japan and the ABA being home to so many great Japanese players like Yuta Tabuse and Moto Fujino, it was a very simple decision for us to make to sign with the ABA."

To publicly announce the launch of ABA in Japan, JMS organized a family event at Yokota Air Base to help salute the troops and their families. Live performances, a children's dance contest and special appearance by Lou Dunbar and Eugene Edgerson of the Harlem Globetrotters, who were in town promoting an upcoming exhibition game, helped make it an unforgettable day. It was the perfect kick-ff to an exciting year that JMS has planned for the ABA here in Japan.

Joe Newman, ABA CEO, added, "We are extremely pleased to be working with Jennifer and JMS. They are very professional, very knowledgable and we know that they can maximize the potential for our Japanese licensing program. With ABA tryouts shortly in Japan, it should further increase the visability and interest for the ABA."
