
ABA returns to Louisville for celebrity charity game

Knoxville, TN. The ABA Knoxville Noise and the ABA Chicago Rockstars (both ABA expansion teams for the upcoming season starting in November) are scheduled to play a pre-season charity game in Louisville, Kentucky on September 9th. The game will take place at 7pm at Male High School (the Spectrum) located at 911 South Brook Street in Louisville. There will be current and former players of the NBA, NFL and local Louisville Celebrities present to sign autographs an hour before game time. The names of the celebrity players that will play or be in attendance at the event will be announced in the near future.
Portions of the ticket proceeds will be donated to The Boys & Girls Club of Louisville. Half time entertainment includes a Dunk Contest to be judged by a group of celebrities in attendance. The Dunk Contest entry fee is $100 with a $500 contest prize as well as a title belt awarded to the winner. Players interested in the Dunk Contest should sign up as soon possible. A maximum of 16 players can participate in the Half Time event. Contact Gavin Raiteri by email to sign up or visit the Noise web site at www.knoxvillenoise.com to register. An after game party will be held for members of both teams and guest celebrities at the Club Headliners. Tickets for the game party will be available at the game or if still available at the Club Headliner door after the game.
Former University of Kentucky point guard, Brandon Stockton leads a list of well-known players for the Noise. His backcourt member at Kentucky, Patrick Sparks, will also be playing for the Noise. Other players for the Noise are as follows: Isma'il Muhammad, Theo Tarver (Georgia Tech), Anthony Rice (Memphis), Boo Jackson (Eastern Michigan), Justin Albrecht (Tennessee), Jamar Davis and Tony Jones from AND 1, Louis Smith (Loyola University), Ayinde Avery (Depaul University), and several other outstanding former players from the Chicago area colleges will represent the Rockstars team.
