ABA moves first Red, White and Blue Concert to Little Rock
July 26, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it has moved its first Red, White and Blue Concert from Anderson, Indiana to Little Rock, Arkansas. According to Joe Newman, ABA CEO, "We are very excited about the ABA's return to Little Rock - and thought we would treat the fans to an exciting, fun-filled, family concert country concert prior to the season. Barton Coliseum at the State Fair Grounds is a fabulous facility; we have a great concert lined up - and it will be, as are all ABA events, affordably priced. The new date of the concert is Saturday, September 9th and we expect tickets to go on sale next week."
Headlining the show will be "the Rich Little of Country Music," the one and only Johnny Counterfit," who performs with over 200 different voices. To get a preview, visit www.counterfit.com. He is truly an amazing performer with fabulous impressions of recording artists, politicians and famous actors. I
Bobby Bare, CMA and Grand Ole Opry member, will be there also. Known for his hits 500 Miles Away from Home, Detroit City and Marie Laveau. Bobby has won multiple awards in over 40 years including CMA of the Year. Check him out on www.bobbybare.net.
And, rising young star Danielle Hester will perform as well as three additional top artists who will be announced shortly (change in concert date is requiring confirmation).
Paul Allsup, VRCA Records CEO and concert promoter added, "With Johnny Counterfit and Bobby Bare already on the venue, the fans in Little Rock are really in for a treat and will see that ABA Entertainment and the ABA Red, White and Blue Concerts is one of the best entertainment values in show business. We're excited about going to Little Rock for the first one."
