ABA Players of the Week Announced

January 16, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Los Angeles, CA. Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, announced on Saturday's program that Ray Cunningham of the Maryland Nighthawks and Jerry Dupree of the SoCal Legends were named ABA Players of the Week. According to Pearson, "Cunningham of Maryland was superb for the Nighthawks with three double doubles while Dupree held SoCal to the number three ranking in the Pit Bull ABA Power Rankings with a 30-point performance for the 14-2 Legends. In fact, the league has had some incredible performances by outstanding talent - and it is difficult to choose winners."

Previous winners include: William Funn, Gallup Talons Fred Vinson, Aoshen Olympians Chris Carrawell, Rochester Razorsharks Coleco Buie, Armon Gilliam, Pittsburgh Xplosion Kenny Brunner, SoCal Legends Chandler Thompson, Lincoln Glass, Indiana Alley Cats Mike Parker, Caleb Gervin, Bellingham Slam Charles Jones, Strong Island Sound Tim Hardaway, Florida Pit Bulls Tim Ellis, Bellevue Blackhawks
