ABA champs schedule open tryouts

Long Beach, CA. Steve Chase, President/GM of the ABA Long Beach Jam professional basketball team and last season's League Champions today announced that the team will conduct an Open Player Tryout at the Pyramid in Long Beach on Sunday, October 10th at 11AM. According to Chase, "This year's team has a some big shoes to fill. Last season, five Jam players were called up to the NBA - DerMarr Johnson (New York Knicks), Matt Barnes (Los Angeles Clippers), Derrick Dial (Orlando Magic), Matt Carroll (Portland Trailblazers) and Jannero Pargo (Toronto Raptors). Head Coach and Hall of Famer Nate "Tony" Archibald will be evaluating players and looking for outstanding talent to keep the championship in Long Beach."
Registration to tryout is $100 (if paid prior to October 6th). Please send completed form (available at www.lbjam.com) and check or money order made out to the Long Beach Jam to 5500 E. Atherton Street, Suite 216, Long Beach, CA 90815. After Oct 6, the cost will be $125.
