September 21, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the United Hockey League, announced today the return of veteran scorer Greg Koehler for the 2004-2005 Season.

Koehler (KEY-ler), a Scarborough, Ontario native was one of the offensive leaders of the Jackals and the entire UHL during the first half of last year until he began a string of call ups to the American Hockey League. In just 37 games for Elmira last season, Koehler totaled 20 goals and 26 assists with 35 PIMs.

"Greg is a great scorer and will be a huge asset on the power play," said Jackals Head Coach Todd Brost. "We are very excited about his return because he has the potential to be a 40-50 goal scorer at this level."

Koehler, who finished the 2003-04 season with the Manchester Monarchs (AHL) has played 187 games at the AHL level over the course of his six-year professional career. The 6'2" 215-pound right-winger made his NHL debut in 2000-01 when he appeared in one game for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Season tickets, 20 game, 10 game and Flex Packs are on sale now for the 2004-2005 season. For more information call the First Arena Box Office at 607-734-7825.
