
\'Meet the PrairieThunder Night' set

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Fans will have a chance to "Meet the Bloomington PrairieThunder" hockey team Friday (Oct. 9) at Six Strings, the most popular country-western music establishment in the Twin Cities.
Season-ticket holders also will have the opportunity to pick up their tickets for the 2009-10 International Hockey League campaign at the event, which runs from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. The team will be introduced at 7:30 p.m. and will stay to visit after introductions.
Local band Brushfire will begin playing at 9 p.m. and fans can stay and enjoy the entertainment for $5.
Fans also will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for Saturday's IHL exhibition opener against Quad Cities at the Decatur Civic Center at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, which includes a voucher for a free youth (12 and under) ticket. Additional youth tickets can be purchased for $5. A portion of the proceeds from the event, which includes a post-game jersey auction, will benefit the Decatur Youth Hockey Association.
