
QB Shane Boyd Assigned to Rattlers

Phoenix, Ariz. - The world champion Arizona Rattlers have been assigned quarterback Shane Boyd for the 2015 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This is Boyd's fourth season in the AFL, his first season with the Arizona Rattlers.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound Boyd will bring an extra layer of security to the Rattlers' offense with quarterback Nick Davila being placed on IR. Boyd has played in the AFL for three seasons, and in that time he has thrown for 2,852 yards and 47 touchdowns.
The Fort Huachuca, Arizona native spent time in the National Football League (NFL) with the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Boyd played for the Kentucky Wildcats from 2001 to 2005, where he started in 16 games, throwing for 2,484 yards and 13 touchdowns.
The Arizona Rattlers will face the undefeated San Jose SaberCats next Saturday, May 2nd at 6 p.m. in the US Airways Center. The game will also be nationally televised on ESPN2. For additional information please visit www.azrattlers.com.
