
RailHawks Sign Forward Daniel Jackson

CARY, NC (March 6, 2014) - The Carolina RailHawks announced the signing of Coker College and 2014 MLS draft pick Daniel Jackson. Jackson, a 24 year-old forward, was drafted by Real Salt Lake in the 2014 MLS Super Draft, after his time at Cooker College in South Carolina.
RailHawks Head Coach Colin Clarke commented on the signing. "Myself and other members of our coaching staff had the opportunity to see Daniel at the InfoSport Combine in January. He adds more speed to our roster and WakeMed Soccer Park is very advantageous to guys with speed. He is a young player willing to learn and makes a great addition on and off the field.
The South Harren, Michigan native scored 19 goals in his two years at Coker and also spent time with D.C United U-23. After arriving midweek, Jackson scored the opening goal in the RailHawks intra-squad exhibition on Sunday, March 9th. You can follow Daniel on twitter at @Djax_21.
