Inland Empire 66ers News Release

San Bernardino, CA - Inland Empire reliever Bryant George is returning to the active roster alongside a new member of the 66ers, left hander Carmine Giardina. They replace Tyler Kehrer who was placed on the disabled list with a calf strain and Ryan Crowley who was transferred to Low A Cedar Rapids.

George has been with Inland Empire since opening day of 2012. He is 3-2 with two saves and 38 strikeouts over 41.1 innings pitched. It is his third year in pro baseball and he is one strikeout away from reaching 100 on his career.

Carmine Giardina has been a solid reliever for Low A Cedar Rapids all season. He is 3-5 with a 3.99 ERA, and has held opposing hitters to a .235 batting average against him. His 58 strikeouts in just under 50 innings is one of the best ratios in the system. This will be Giardina's first time pitching in the California League.

Ryan Crowley will rejoin the Kernals team he left early in the season. He was 1-1 in Cedar Rapids with a 2.73 ERA in five starts. Tyler Kehrer will begin rehab on his left calf strain immediately in hopes of joining the 66ers active roster for a run at the playoffs after the mandatory seven days.

Inland Empire has just one series left in July at San Manuel Stadium and it is against the 66ers arch rivals, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Tickets can be purchased at the 66ers box office and online at www.66ers.com. For more information on the Inland Empire 66ers please contact Sam Farber, Director of Broadcasting, at 909-495-7632.
