Syracuse Silver Knights News Release
Five Things to Watch vs. Florida Tomorrow
Saturday, Feb 11, 7:05 p.m. EST
1. The Fitness Factor
Playing two games in two days is tough on any team. Fitness, depth and recovery abilities all factor in more heavily. Florida and Syracuse are battling for the same playoff spot, and the team with the better endurance and depth should have an edge in the weekend series.
2. Avenging a Loss
Silver Knights fans remember losing to Florida on Nov. 26, an occasion where Syracuse was outscored, outshot, and out-blocked yet still rallied to tie the game in the 4th quarter. Florida was not to be denied that night, claiming a 7-6 win on a goal by Jowayne Laidley of Kingston, Jamaica. Syracuse's Kenardo Forbes, also of Kingston, now pays a visit to Mr. Laidley's home turf. Will he return the favor?

3. Fab Five Freddy
To call Florida forward Freddy Moojen the face of the franchise isn't an embellishment. He leads the club in shots, 103, assists, 12, power play goals, 2, and is tied for the lead in goals, 10. Moojen is also the assistant coach of the Tropics. That makes #10 worth watching.
4. Show'em What You Got
Two wins for either club would do wonders for their playoff hopes. It could be a season-defining moment for the winners and the losers. To that end, whatever each club has got left in the tank has to be on display this weekend. Make the case your club belongs in the MASL playoffs through effort and teamwork.
5. Hall and the Bench
Two Silver Knights made their home debuts against Milwaukee, but fans didn't see leading scorer Joey Tavernese. With two games less than 22 hours apart, Coach Ryan Hall will likely juggle his lineups. It's an opportunity for players who normally don't see minutes to have an impact on the season, especially if Tavernese doesn't play this weekend.
