FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Hundreds of soccer players of all ages, from all over the region, will take part in an action-packed day on Saturday, July 26, when the New England Revolution hosts 3v3 Live at Gillette Stadium.
3v3 Live is a small-sided tournament that will be played on the Gillette Stadium field. Teams of players as young as Under-6 and all the way through adult will compete for the chance to earn a spot in the Elite division of the Disney 3v3 World Championships in early January in Orlando.
"The New England region has a tremendous interest and talent in small-sided soccer, and past tournaments like this that we've hosted have set national registration records," Revolution president Brian Bilello said. "We expect some very high-quality, entertaining - and highly-competitive - soccer to be played on July 26 when 3v3 Live comes to Gillette Stadium. This will be a fantastic event for participants and fans, alike."
Registration for the Revolution's July 26 3v3 Live event is currently open at 3v3 Live's website below. Complete event information is also available there. Registration must be completed by Sunday, July 20.
Interested participants with questions can email 3v3 Live at info@3v3live.com or call the Revolution sales staff at (508) 384-9167.
The Early Bird registration fee is $199 per team, plus a $5 processing fee per team, which is available through June 26. The regular registration price is $225. The team registration fee also includes five (5) tickets to the Revolution-Columbus Crew match that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium later that night.
The 3-v-3 tournament is open to players of all ages, abilities and affiliations and teams will be divided according to age groups and competitive levels. Team rosters can consist of up to six players (three field players and three substitutes) and each team will play in round-robin action, with the possibility of advancing to the single-elimination championship playoff.
