April 22, 2015 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Saint John Riptide News Release
(Saint John, NB): Three Saint John Mill Rats players took home All-NBL Canada honours, the league announced today in a press release.
2013-14 League MVP Anthony Anderson was named to the All-NBLC First Team, power forward Kenny Jones to the All-NBLC Second Team, and Canadian guard Alex Johnson to the All-Canadian Team.
"Its always great when members of our team are recognized by the league and other media outlets like this," said Mill Rats President & GM Ian McCarthy. "Of course its not an exact science, and so there were deserving players that weren't named who may have only been here for part of the season, or whatever the case may be, but for the fans its cool."
Anderson, who is the league's all-time leading scorer, averaged 19.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game. Jones posted 20.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists averages, while "Superman" Johnson added 8.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game.
