DAYTONA BEACH, FL -The Tortugas rallied late for a 3-1 win over the Lakeland Flying Tigers at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark on Saturday night.

RHP Ryan Olson and RHP Alex Faedo exchanged zeros through the first four innings before Lakeland got on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth. With the bases loaded, Chad Sedio lined a sacrifice fly to center to drive in Anthony Pereira for the game's first run.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Tortugas would finally break into the run column against Faedo. With two outs and TJ Friedl standing on third, Taylor Trammell roped a single to right to tie the game at one.

Then, after Nick Howard pitched a scoreless top of the seventh, the Tortugas scored two in the bottom half. With two out, and runners on second and third, Friedl stepped back to the plate. This time, he would beat out a slow roller to second for an infield single, scoring Ibandel Isabel from third. Brantley Bell would score on the play all the way from second after Anthony Pereira bobbled the ball at second.

Howard (1-2) earned the win, after pitching a scoreless seventh. RHP Joe Navilhon (0-3) surrendered the winning runs in the seventh and took the loss. Kuhnel earned his first save of the year, pitching a perfect eighth and ninth while striking out two.

The Tortugas will go for the sweep of the Flying Tigers Sunday at The Jack. LHP Wennington Romero (3-0, 2.45 ERA) will get the ball for the Tortugas in the finale, against LHP Austin Sodders (1-2, 5.27).

First pitch Sunday is scheduled for 5:35 PM, with coverage beginning at 5:20 PM with The Metcare Pregame Show on AM 1230, AM 1490, and FM 106.9 WSBB.

NOTES: Ryan Olson has now pitched into the sixth, and has struck out at least six, in his last five starts. He has given up just two earned runs in his last 20 innings... The Tortugas were held scoreless through the first five innings for the third time in their last five games... Bruce Yari ended an 0-for-20 stretch with a second inning single... 2:18 minutes was the fastest game played at The Jack this season... The Tortugas last three saves have been 2+ innings ... Daytona is now 11-3 at home, 12-3 vs. the FSL North, and 13-0 when leading after 8.
