Fargo Force News Release
Aaron Huglen | Ace Brandt MVP - In 39 regular season games since his return in January from a long term injury, Huglen put up 15 goals and 20 assists. The Buffalo Sabres draft pick added another 3 goals and 5 assists during the Force's playoff run to the Clark Cup finals. Huglen's hockey sense, skills, and character on and off the ice have been a huge asset to the team during his time here with the Force.
Brennan Boynton | Ace Brandt MVP - In 46 games played this season Boynton posted a 2.43 GAA, .901 SV% and three shut out wins. His outstanding performance between the pipes earned him USHL Goalie of the Week honors 4 times during the 2020-21 season. The University of Minnesota commit was an anchor for the team all year and played a big role in the Force's success this season.
Jack Peart | Rookie of the Year - Peart started and ended the season this year with the Force after finishing out his HS hockey career back home in Grand Rapids. In just 24 regular season games the St. Cloud State commit put up 1 goal and 14 assists, plus 2 more goals and 5 assists in the Force's Clark Cup playoff run. At just 18 years old Peart is a highly ranked player in the upcoming NHL Draft. His next level hockey sense, skating ability, and vision on the ice have been huge for the team this season.
Jake Braccini | Rookie of the Year - Braccini was a staple in the Force offensive forward line this season playing in all 54 regular season games and all 9 playoff games. He posted 12 goals and 15 assists in those 54 games and tacked on another 3 goals and 2 assists in the playoffs. The Gopher commit recorded recorded a hat trick to in the Western Conference Championship to help send the Force to the Clark Cup Final during the playoffs this season.
Ryan Siedem | John Noah Outstanding Defenseman - Siedem was an assist machine for the Force, leading the Western Conference defensemen in apples with 30 during the regular season. In addition to his 30 assists, the Harvard Hockey commit added 2 regular season goals plus 3 more assists during the Clark Cup Playoffs, and served the Force as an alternate captain for the 2020-21 season.
Tristan Broz | Reggie Morelli Outstanding Forward - Broz had an outstanding year for the Force racking up 19 goals and 32 assists for 51 total points in 54 games - which led Fargo in all 3 scoring categories! The Gopher hockey commit added another 3 goals and 8 assists in the playoffs and is a highly ranked player in the upcoming NHL draft. His slick hands, skilled skating and elite playmaking ability have made him a fan favorite for the Force during his 2 years in Fargo.
Nick Strom | Tom Clifford Leadership & Dedication Award - "Nick exemplified what it means to be a leader this season. He carried himself with a strong presence inside of our locker room and on the ice every day. Nick is a fearless competitor and the definition of resilience. He led by example, playing through multiple injuries this season. His toughness and grit does not go unnoticed by our staff and his teammates." - Fargo Force Head Coach Pierre-Paul Lamoureux
Tucker Hodgson | Most Improved Player Award - Coming into the Force as a 21st round draft pick, Hodgson made the team at tryout camp, and worked hard all season putting in big minutes and becoming a key player on the Force blue line. He took advantage of extra ice & practice sessions to improve his overall speed & strength, which earned him a scholarship to Bentley University next Fall.
Trevor Griebel | Most Improved Player Award - In his rookie season with the Force, Griebel tallied 4 goals and 13 assists as well as a +16 plus/minus rating. He brought an aggressive presence to the Fargo defense and was always ready to go to bat for his teammates. Trevor's game showed consistent improvement & he will be looked upon for leadership as a returner in 21-22.
Nick Strom | Chad Johnson Community Service Award - In his two seasons with the Fargo Force Nick has been an active member of the Fargo-Moorhead community, participating in things like the Fargo Force reading program and Sanford Children's Night. Most recently he raised 5,300 dollars for the Cullen Children's Foundation, a number that was matched by Matt and Bridget Cullen for a total of $10,300 donated to charity. In that same week Strom also cut his signature locks to donate to Locks of Love, all this and more has helped earn him the 2020-21 Chad Johnson Community Service Award!
