COLUMBUS, GA -- Veteran wide receiver Jarmon Fortson, a key contributor to multiple professional and local high school championships, has signed for his fourth season with the Columbus Lions of the new National Arena League (NAL).

In 11 games with the Lions last season, Fortson, 6'3" and 225 lbs., caught 52 passes for 598 yards (11.4 per catch) and 24 touchdowns. He moved into second place on the Lions' all-time touchdown receptions list with 62, passing Maurice Dupree and trailing only Gerald Gales' 102. The Lions have played ten seasons (2007-16).

Head Coach and Director of Football Operations Jason Gibson said "Jarmon is a dominant wide receiver and a winner. From his high school championships with Carver to leading the Lions to back-to-back titles, he knows how to compete. He has always been a leader on the field of play but he wants to be the team leader in the locker room as well."
