2016 San Jose Giants FanFest to Take Place Monday, April 4

San Jose, CA - Members of the 2016 San Jose Giants will join Giants coaches and fans for the 8th Annual San Jose Giants FanFest at Municipal Stadium on Monday, April 4 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It will be the first opportunity for fans and media to meet and see the 2016 roster and coaching staff. Fans will also have the opportunity to watch the team practice, purchase 2016 merchandise and play in the Family Fun Zone. Admission and parking are FREE.

"We are so excited to bring another highly anticipated FanFest to Municipal Stadium in 2016" said Juliana Paoli, San Jose Giants Senior Vice President of Communications and Chief Marketing Officer. "FanFest is a time-honored tradition here in San Jose that offers an amazing opportunity for our fans to meet the next batch of homegrown Giants as they continue the journey on the road to San Francisco."

Lipso Nava, former hitting coach and new manager of the San Jose Giants, along with his players and coaches, will be available to sign autographs, pose for pictures and answer questions from fans as part of a "Meet and Greet" that begins at 5:15 PM.

"FanFest marks the beginning of thrilling San Jose Giants baseball," said Daniel Orum, San Jose Giants President and CEO. "We are excited for our fans to welcome back Lipso Nava to San Jose in his new role as manager, meet the Giants future, and see the improvements to Municipal Stadium, highlighted by the brand new Luxury Box Seats behind home plate in Section D. San Jose Giants FanFest will have something to get every fan energized for the 2016 season."

For the sixth straight season, the San Jose Giants are offering fans the special opportunity to take part in the exclusive 2016 Season Preview Media Event in the City National Futures Club starting at 4:00 PM prior to FanFest. Fans will get to sit in on a press conference unveiling improvements to Municipal Stadium and is scheduled to feature San Francisco Giants Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer and the President of the San Jose Giants Executive Board Bill Schlough, San Francisco Giants Vice President of Baseball Operations Yeshayah Goldfarb, the coaching staff, and select players from the 2016 roster.
