2012-13 CHL Season Schedule Released

Arizona Sundogs News Release
Prescott Valley, AZ - The Central Hockey League announced today that the 2012-13 season schedule has been released. The CHL is entering their 21st year and will consist of ten teams.
The league has seen a handful of changes during the off-season with the movement of teams. The Evansville Iceman, Fort Wayne Komets, and Dayton Gems all opted to shift to the ECHL for their upcoming seasons. In addition, the Laredo Bucks, and Killer Bees both finished their franchises' long run in the CHL, quietly closing their doors following the conclusion of last season. Two expansion teams were announced this summer, first with the Denver Cutthroats who will make their debut this season and second the St. Charles Chill who will begin play during the 2013-14 season.
The team Governors also voted to have one conference (Berry Conference) this season which will include all ten teams. It was also voted, the top eight teams in point standings will advance to the playoffs and will be determined by three rounds, best of seven series.

The Arizona Sundogs will play 66 games, 33 being hosted on home ice at Tim's Toyota Center. The team will begin their season on the road in Allen, Texas on October 20th. The Sundogs will play their first home game on Friday, October 26th against the Missouri Mavericks with the puck set to drop at 7:05pm. "We are very pleased with our home schedule", Chris Presson General Manager said. "Our schedule will allow us to emphasize key holidays." The Sundogs will host games near and on Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. "We have some great things planned around these holidays and can't wait to share this holiday season with our fans. We have lots of surprises in store."
