OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals are offering free admission for all ages, free Cokes and popcorn and a free fun zone for kids during the 2010 Family Fest, scheduled for Wednesday, April 7th from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Rosenblatt Stadium. It will be the first chance for Royals fans to see this year's team in action, as the club will hold its first workout in Omaha after arriving from Spring Training in Surprise, Arizona.
Fans who attend will be able to get autographs from Royals players. It's free to get into the stadium and the Coca-Cola Fun Zone will also be free-of-charge for kids. Besides the free Cokes and popcorn, a variety of other snacks and beverages will be on sale for just $2.
That day only, fans coming to Rosenblatt will be able to purchase ½-price memberships to the Subway Kids Club for only $5. Membership to the Subway Kids club gives those kids admission to all Sunday and Wednesday Royals games, along with many other benefits. Only for fans who come to the Family Fest there will be a 25% discount offered on booking a Wells Blue Bunny Birthday Bash, which must be booked by April 30th.
During Family Fest, the Royals mascots Casey, Spike and Herman the Nut will be at the ballpark, along with clowns and face painters. Royal Treasures, the team's gift shop at Rosenblatt, will be open.
"The final season of baseball with the O-Royals at Rosenblatt is nearing and this is a great opportunity for families and fans to be a part of the Minor League Baseball excitement that is growing in the metro," said Royals Vice President/General Manager Martie Cordaro. "With free Coca-Cola and Orville Redenbacher popcorn along with inflatables and activities for kids, there is something for everyone at this Fun Rules! event."
