ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., July 30, 2009 - The Albuquerque Thunderbirds have finalized the roster for the 2009-2010 Storm Chasers. The team will be made up of 20 ladies, including 10 new faces.
"I'm excited to get the chance to work with these 20 young ladies during the next year," said team choreographer Leslie Chant. "They are all very deserving and I know that the fans will enjoy watching them perform."
The Storm Chasers will feature 10 returnees from last year. To see the ladies who made the cut, please visit www.abqtbirds.com.
"This was a very difficult decision," said Chant. "We had 40 girls come out to the audition, and the talent level was higher than ever before."
Storm Chaser auditions were held during the weekend of July 25-26. The team will hold mandatory training camp from August 15-22.
The Albuquerque Thunderbirds will be holding an official Meet the Storm Chasers party leading up to the season. The date and location have not yet been finalized.
