2003 Riptide Dance Team Set

SAN DIEGO â On Saturday, some of the most talented dancers in Southern California packed the gymnasium of Mission Bay High School trying to become a member of the 2003 San Diego Riptide Dance Team.
The participants learned a routine and then performed it in groups of three to the panel of judges. Twenty-one of them were invited back for interviews on Monday and then Tuesday night each dancer preformed two routines in the finals.
The 2003 twelve-member squad will be unveiled before the season and perform one of their show-stopping routines. Check back on sandiegoriptide.com to find out where and when they will be performing.
The Riptide Dance Team is an integral part of the team throughout the Arena football season running from April through August. Apart from performing at all eight home games at the Sports Arena, the Riptide Dancers also play key roles in promotional and charitable functions throughout the San Diego area.

The 2003 team consists of five returning veterans and seven first-year Riptide Dancers. The squad is directed by former Riptide Dancer Johanna Blevins.
