2002-03 Budweiser Winter Concert Series with the Altitude

ASHEVILLE, N.C., December 12, 2002 -- Desert Sun, a local musical favorite, headlines the first of six free concerts prior to Asheville Altitude Friday night home games as the "2002-03 Budweiser Winter Concert Series with the Altitude", sponsored by OVERTIME Sports Bar & Grill and Clear Channel radio, tips off. The Concert Series begins Dec. 13 prior to the Altitude hosting the Huntsville Flight.
Desert Sun, a Southern Rock group, will perform from 5:15 until 6:45 p.m. at the Asheville Civic Center. Tip off for the basketball game follows at 7:15 p.m.
"The Budweiser Winter Concert Series gives Western North Carolinians an added opportunity to enjoy music in a basketball atmosphere," said Alfred White, Altitude team president. "It is our goal for the Concert Series to provide Asheville with a winter alternative to Downtown After Five in the spring and summer."
In addition to the concerts, the Altitude will offer a $2 Budweiser Beer on tap from the Civic Center Concessions and free admission to the team's official after party at OVERTIME Sports Bar & Grill. Altitude fans will be admitted to the concert and after party by presenting their game ticket stub.
The Altitude ticket office is also offering three new ticket packages as excellent holiday stocking stuffers. Altitude fans have the opportunity to purchase a Friday, Saturday and Weekend Ticket plan, offering savings from $10-$30 off box office prices. Tickets are available by calling the Altitude ticket office at 828-782-1000.
Season and individual game tickets are still available at a pro-rated price, and feature numerous deals for all entertainment needs. Individual tickets are available in the following price ranges: $9, $15, $30 and $35. Discounted tickets are also available.
