20 new Outlaws teach students how to chase dreams

The entire 20-man roster for the expansion Kansas City Outlaws will visit the students of Pleasant Ridge Middle School, whose orchestra will perform the National Anthem at the first Outlaws game on Friday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Kemper Arena.

The 20 new Outlaws, who will be living a dream of playing professional hockey in Kansas City, will teach the students the importance of goals and chasing their own dreams.

The Pleasant Ridge students have raised over $600 for their school symphony through the Outlaws fundraising program. For more information on the program, call Michelle Blair at 816-513-4031.

The school's Orchestra Director, Gail Rowland, was the winner of the "name the team contest." Rowland picked the winning name, Outlaws, and won season tickets for life.

Kansas City Outlaws opening weekend is Friday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. at Kemper Arena against the Missouri River Otters.
