Colorado 14ers News Release

DENVER - Mar. 30, 2008 - The Colorado 14ers ended a six game losing streak with a 107-83 win over the Tulsa 66ers in Broomfield on Sunday night. The victory pulls the 14ers back to within one game of the 66ers and the Dakota Wizards in the race for the final two playoff spots in the D-League with two weeks to play.

After losing a 122-121 shootout to Tulsa on their home court Saturday night, Colorado clamped down on the defensive end and allowed the 66ers to shoot just 39 percent score only 39 second half points. The 14ers blew open a back-and-forth game early by shooting 59 percent in the second half to pull away for the victory.

Roderick Riley led Colorado's effort with 22 points and 13 rebounds in the win. His post presence helped the 14ers take a 52-30 points in the paint advantage on the night. Billy Thomas added 21 points and five assists, and Damien Lolar came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points in 28 minutes of action.

"The guys did a great job of understanding the situation tonight and performed really well in the second half," said 14ers head coach Joe Wolf. "We took away one and now we've got to go to Tulsa and do what we need to do."

The two teams will meet again on Thursday morning in Tulsa, with just one game separating them in the Southwest Division and the D-League playoff standings.

The 66ers played without guard Adam Harrington who did not dress due to a sore left knee. Mike Hall led the way for Tulsa with 28 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the loss.
