
13th Sellout Sees Wahoos Sweep Doubleheader

The Blue Wahoos picked up where they left off in front of a capacity crowd on Sunday afternoon. The sellout, was the 13th of the season at the new stadium. The first game of the double-dip was the completion of the suspended game from Saturday night. Fans enjoyed two games for the price of one and watched the Wahoos sweep the doubleheader over the Birmingham Barons. Following the games kids were invited down on the field to run the bases before Family Toss presented by McDonalds.
In the first game, the Blue Wahoos cruised to an 8-0 victory before winning the second game 4-2 thanks to back-to-back home runs in the sixth by Cody Puckett and Yordanys Perez, the first back-to-back homers in franchise history.
The series continues on Monday with Social Media Monday where fans are encouraged to Tweet their seats to win prizes. First pitch is slated for 7:00 p.m.
