MILWAUKEE (Saturday, August 13, 2005) - In the final battle of the "war of the indoors", Wave United tied MISL rival Chicago Storm, 2-2. Uihlein Soccer Park's main stadium hosted the second match in the indoor rivalry series tonight, giving the Wave United a 1-1 record against indoor rivals. The first battle was fought last Saturday against the St. Louis Steamers, resulting in a 13-1 Wave United victory. The second battle in the "war of the indoors" started early with a straight shot from the top of the arc taken by Angel Rivillo. Rivillo took a left-cross pass from Semir Mesanovic to score Wave United's first goal in the eighth minute past Storm keeper (and former United player) Jeff Richey. Just a little more than 10 minutes later, the Chicago Storm got past United goalkeeper Brad Swenby with a quick shot by Novica Marojevic, as assisted by Andre Nenning. Just before the half, assistant coach/player Digital Takawira converted the penalty kick following a yellow card on the Storm's Bronko Savic for a handball. In the 58th minute, Chicago tied the game off an own goal, credited to the Storm's Ryan Futagaki. Chicago was issued four yellow cards throughout the second half, three for misconduct and one for pushing (five total for the game.) Play was intense throughout the match, but ended in a two-goal tie. The next time many of the players from both of these teams will meet is during the 2005-06 indoor season during Chicago's home opener on November 6 and Milwaukee's first home game on November 12.

Wave United's next home game is Thursday, August 18 at 7 p.m. versus Celtic Soccer Club. This match is marked as Head Coach Joe Tierney's final game as a player. United then follows up with the final match played in partnership with a festival on Wednesday, August 24 at 7 p.m. In partnership with Mexican Fiesta, Wave United takes on the Latino All-Stars and honors Mexico' s own Reverend Eleazar Perez.

All tickets for Wave United games are priced at eight dollars ($8.00) general admission. All home games are played at Uihlein Soccer Park on Milwaukee's northwest side at 7101 West Good Hope Road.
