Cats Announce Trio Of Returnees
February 11, 2026 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce their first round of player signings for the 2026 Northwoods League season. Returning under the direction of second-year manager Joe Ellison are catcher Trey Fikes, shortstop Manny Alberto, and pitcher Makaio Cisneros. Close to a dozen players, who played for the Cats in 2025, are scheduled to return for this year's campaign, which begins Monday, May 25, in Iowa against the Waterloo Bucks.

Robson to Play for Canada in World Baseball Classic
February 6, 2026 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - Former Thunder Bay Border Cats outfielder Jacob Robson has been named to the Canadian roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The 20-team tournament takes place March 5-17 in four different locations with the championship game scheduled for Miami, Florida.

Thunder Bay Border Cats Release 2026 Northwoods League Schedule
December 9, 2025 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce the home opener for the 2026 Northwoods League season is scheduled for Friday, May 29, versus the Eau Claire Express at Port Arthur Stadium. First pitch on opening night is at 7:05pm in the first game of a two-game set against the Express that concludes the following night on May 30.
