July 16, 2025 - Thunder Bay, Ont. - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce another former pitcher from the 2023 Northwoods League team is turning professional. Righthander Matthew Tippie (Texas State University) signed as a free agent with the New York Yankees organization following the conclusion of the 2025 Major League Draft. July 15, 2025 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are proud to announce a pair of former pitchers from the 2023 Northwoods League season were selected in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft. Pitchers Riely Hunsaker (Lamar University) and Peyton Fosher (University of Nevada) were both chosen on the final day of the draft on Monday. Northwoods League Announces 2025 All-Star Selections

July 7, 2025 - Rochester, Minn. - The Northwoods League has announced the rosters for the 2025 Northwoods League All-Star Game, which will be played on Wednesday, July 16 at 6:35 p.m. (CST) at Warner Park in Madison, Wisconsin. In the Great Plains Division, the First-Half Great Plains West Champion St. Cloud Rox have five players on the roster. St. Cloud is led on the mound by Jake Burcham (Tarleton State University).
