September 5, 2024 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce the hiring of Joe Ellison as the team's new field manager for the 2025 Northwoods League season. The 33-year-old native of Toronto, Ont., becomes the 15th manager in franchise history and the second Canadian born skipper, joining Mike Steed, who guided the Cats in 2010 and 2011. Border Cats Announce First Player Signings For 2024 Season

February 13, 2024 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce their first player signings for the 2024 Northwoods League season. The first trio to ink contracts for manager J.M. Kelly features all returning players in pitcher Jack Pineau, catcher Cole Ketzner and outfielder/pitcher Peter Fusek. December 18, 2023 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce that the team will play their 2024 Northwoods League home opener on Friday, May 31, versus the Minnesota Mud Puppies at Port Arthur Stadium.
