Rochester Honkers Sign Minnesota Native Slugger

April 27, 2018 - (Rochester, Minn.) - The Rochester Honkers have announced the signing of Reed Hjelle (jell-lee) to a temporary contract for the 2018 season. Hjelle is a 6-foot-2 210-pound first basemen/outfielder from the University of Minnesota-Crookston. The junior is swinging a hot bat for the Golden Eagles hitting a team best .429. April 26, 2018 - (Rochester, Minn.) - The Rochester Honkers have announced the signings of pitchers, Drew Slade and Matteo Bocchi for the 2018 season. Slade is a 5-foot-9 160-pound senior lefty from Ripon University who is returning to Rochester for a second season. With the Honkers last summer, Slade posted a 5-3 record with a 6.44 ERA. Right-Handed Pitcher Signs Temporary Contract with Rochester

April 20, 2018 - (Rochester, Minn.) - The Rochester Honkers have announced the signing of Chandler Cannon, a right-handed pitcher from Walters State Community College, to a temporary contract for 2018. Cannon is a 6-foot 185-pound sophomore from Oregon, Ohio. He began his collegiate career in 2017 at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas. His season was cut short due to an arm injury.
