Oil Kings to Host Hitmen for 2026 Home Opener
June 17, 2026 - Edmonton, Alta. - The Edmonton Oil Kings 2026/2027 home schedule will kick off with a Battle of Alberta WHL style.
The Oil Kings announced today that the Calgary Hitmen will pay a visit to Rogers Place for the first of 34 home games this coming season on Sunday, September 20 at 4 p.m.. It will be the first of four visits to Edmonton for the Hitmen.

Elks to Honour Dwayne Mandrusiak's 50 Seasons of Service
June 16, 2026 - EDMONTON - No one has dedicated more of their life to the Green and Gold than Dwayne Mandrusiak, and at Saturday's Home Opener presented by James H. Brown and Associates, the franchise icon will get his due.
The Edmonton Elks and the Thompson family will honour Mandrusiak during the halftime show of June 20th's contest against the Montreal Alouettes, giving Elks fans a chance to celebrate Mandrusiak's achievement of 50 seasons working for the team.

Elks Add a Pair of Offensive Linemen
June 16, 2026 - EDMONTON - The Edmonton Elks have added National offensive lineman John Bosse and American offensive lineman Joe Cooper to the practice roster, the club announced Tuesday.
Bosse (6'4, 335) joins the Green and Gold after having suited up for 19 games over the last two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts. The offensive lineman made 11 starts for the Double Blue in 2025, and was a member of the team's 2024 Grey Cup winning squad.
