Border Cats Announce First Player Signings For 2024 Season

February 13, 2024 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce their first player signings for the 2024 Northwoods League season. The first trio to ink contracts for manager J.M. Kelly features all returning players in pitcher Jack Pineau, catcher Cole Ketzner and outfielder/pitcher Peter Fusek. December 18, 2023 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce that the team will play their 2024 Northwoods League home opener on Friday, May 31, versus the Minnesota Mud Puppies at Port Arthur Stadium. October 5, 2023 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are pleased to announce that J.M. Kelly will return as field manager for the 2024 Northwoods League season. The 27-year-old native of Buna, Texas, had the Border Cats in contention during the first half of the 2023 season, finishing with a record of 17-15, two games behind the Eau Claire Express, who claimed the first Great Plains East Division playoff spot.
