Border Cats Tyler Bribiescas Named to Northwoods League 2026 Postseason All-Star Team

Northwoods Thunder Bay Border Cats August 20, 2026 - Thunder Bay Border Cats pitcher Tyler Bribiescas has been named to the Northwoods League Postseason All-Star Team for the Great Plains Division. The senior lefthander from the University of Arkansas-Monticello led the Border Cats in innings pitched as he threw 55 1/3 innings over 13 appearances. Bribiescas compiled a 6-4 record with a 4.72 earned run average and finished third overall in the league with 67 strikeouts. Northwoods Thunder Bay Border Cats February 11, 2026 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - The Thunder Bay Border Cats are excited to announce their first round of player signings for the 2026 Northwoods League season. Returning under the direction of second-year manager Joe Ellison are catcher Trey Fikes, shortstop Manny Alberto, and pitcher Makaio Cisneros. Northwoods Thunder Bay Border Cats February 6, 2026 - Thunder Bay, Ont., - Former Thunder Bay Border Cats outfielder Jacob Robson has been named to the Canadian roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The 20-team tournament takes place March 5-17 in four different locations with the championship game scheduled for Miami, Florida. Robson, a native of Windsor, Ont., also suited up for Canada at the WBC in 2023 when the team finished in third place in Pool B with a 2-2 record.
