Jackson selected to af2 All-Ironman team

August 6, 2009 - ALBANY, NY - The Albany Firebirds announced today that Alvin Ray Jackson has been selected to the af2's All IronMan Team. Overall, 11 players from 10 of the league's 25 teams were selected to the squad consisting of the leagues top two-way players. This is Jackson's second league-honor in two days; yesterday it was announced that Jackson was voted Second Team All af2 by coaches and media. August 2, 2009 - WILKES_BARRE, PA - Quarterback Ryan Vena led his offense to an af2 record 48 first-half points and the Pioneers built an insurmountable 48-7 halftime lead and went on to win 78-21 Saturday night at the Wachovia Arena. The Pioneers defense recorded two interceptions and three fumble recoveries to keep the Stephen Wasil-led visitors to just seven points in the first two quarters.
